We had seven members help clean up our adopted parkway area this Saturday for the final adopt-a-street service project for the year. With seven full bags of trash, this was a good haul! 

We had the opportunity to speak with some parkway neighbors who expressed their thanks for our service and also inquired about how to join the Kiwanis organization. Service projects that make our club visible in the community send a great message about our group. We are truly service oriented folks over here at Kiwanis!

After the clean up, six of us met at the Big Biscuit to socialize over a few carafes of coffee and a filling meal. We were hoping club member Hailey would be serving that day, but she apparently had the day off. We'll try to catch you another weekend-- not sure if any server would want to deal with six separate checks, though!
